Interview - Ryou

Angel: *grabs notepad and pencil and looks around* Now where is the little cutie?

Ryou: *walks into the room* Um, hey. You said you wanted to talk to me?

Angel: First off... *huggles Ryou* So damn cute...! ^w^
**three minutes later**
Ok. Got that out of my system. Now on to business. ^-^ *sits down* Ok, so, first off, can you tell us your name?

Ryou: Um, Ryou Bakura. *is confused* I thought you already knew my name? *sits down across from her*

Angel: I do but it's a standard question. You always start an interview with the name. So, what was it like when the Spirit of the Ring, better known simply as Bakura, first entered your body? I'll bet it wasn't pleasant.

Ryou: *looks down* Well, I don't remember all of it. But it was sort of like a large gust of cold wind hit me suddenly and then I felt a rather sharp pain in my mind and in my chest. After that, I blacked out. When I woke up… Well, the rest is history, as they say.

Angel: Awwww. You poor dear... *huggles Ryou*

Ryou: Uh...*blushes bright red*

Angel: *lets go and sits back down* Anyways, according to my information you're 16 years old, you're a Virgo since you're born on September 2, a student at Domino High School and you're really into table RPGs more than card games, correct?

Ryou: *nods* And yeah, that's correct.

Angel: Now granted, we know that your favorite card in Duel Monsters is Change of Heart. Why that one out of the thousands you could pick? I'll give you that it's a really good Spell card but is there a particular reason you like that one?

Ryou: I like it because it kind of reminds myself of me, in a way. Since I not only have my love of occult, but also I have Koe, the Spirit of the Ring.

Angel: *nods* Makes sense. And from what I've seen your deck, or a bit more accurately, the Spirit's deck, is occult based as well. Also, I noticed that in the dub you guys are given British accents, but you guys are clearly Japanese. So what's your opinion about that?

Ryou: Yeah, the deck belongs to both of us, I guess. I think they did it to show that I'm polite, and I did switch schools a lot, so...I guess it's okay. It's funnier with the Thief King, because he's from Ancient Egypt. Also I think dubs in different languages gave me lots of different accents too. *shrugs*

Angel: *laughs* Well, I guess it's better than the Japanese version where all three of you sound like a girl. *sweatdrop*

Ryou: *laughs* Yeah, I guess.

Angel: I'm sure I'll get hurt for that one later by them *sweatdrop* Anyways. I've noticed that for most of the series, the Spirit of the Ring, better known to most as just Bakura, goes around pretending to be you. I'm sure you're not happy with that.

Ryou: Yeah, he does. It's kind of annoying that none of my friends noticed the difference, and it does mean I get less screen time too, which is kind of annoying.

Angel: Well, at first no one noticed the difference between Yugi and the Pharaoh either, even though Atem is a few inches taller and has those extra locks of hair. With you and Bakura, it's just a slightly different hairstyle.

Ryou:...He has bat wings in his hair and refers to himself as "ore-sama". There's quite a difference. I just think they aren't very observant.

Angel: *shrug* Maybe so. After all, Joey didn't notice how much Duke and Tristan were hitting on his sister right away. I've noticed Bakura's also incredibly sarcastic. Anyways, let's talk pairings now

Ryou: *pales* Right. That.

Angel: You sound scared.

Ryou:...I'm a little scared of what exactly you're going to ask me, but I'm fine. I'll do my best to answer them. *smiles*

Angel: Well, I'll try not to scare you too much. *huggles*

Ryou: It's okay. *hugs back*

Angel: Well, it's a little sad to say that I've found most pairings of you are of the yaoi type. Usually with Marik, Bakura or Akefia. Hell I've even found some of you with Yugi.

Ryou: *blushes* Well, umm, I tend to stay away from fanfiction stuff for that reason...

Angel: I'm sure. But why do you think that is? I mean, you're certainly cute and sweet enough to get any girl you wanted.

Ryou: I guess it's because I'm cute and I guess I look pretty effeminate that people seem to think I'm gay. The only reason I haven't been out with any girls is because I was scared of the Spirit hurting them.

Angel: *squeels* Awwwww. You see? You're sensitive and considerate too. You'd be a natural girl-magnet if you tried.

Ryou: *blushes bright red* Err, thanks I guess. Maybe I'll try and get a girlfriend now that this is all over.

Angel: You should go for it! *grins* Although, since you're living with said Spirit still, both of them... Albeit in their own body/bodies...

Ryou: Yeah, that might makes things a little awkward...

Angel: I'll have to ask those two how that happened in their interviews. *shrug* But at least they're not taking over your body anymore. So, in regards to Yugi and the others, who would you consider your 'best friend'?

Ryou: Hmm, best friend? I guess it would be Yugi, since he kind of understands what I went through with the Spirit.

Angel: Very true. Because there was a good deal of time when Atem would take over without Yugi's consent. And he did some pretty brutal stuff back then too... *shudder* I keep forgetting about that.

Ryou: Yeah...Yugi didn't have it as easy as some people think.

Angel: *sigh* True. Very true. Also, I guess Marik would understand what you went through as well. I mean, he lost his body entirely.

Ryou: Yeah, he does. We've sort of become friends since Battle City too.

Angel: That's always good. ...I think. Anyways. Let's talk about some of your personal information. *smile*

Ryou: Eh, okay. As long as it isn't too personal. *blush*

Angel: *laughs* No no. Nothing like that, so don't worry too much. *smile* How about you tell me your favorite book, movie and food?

Ryou: My favourite food is cream puffs. *smile* As for books, well, I like a lot of different ones, though I prefer dark fantasy books and ones centering around magic and the occult. As for movies, well I haven't been much what with the whole Shadow Magic thing so I don't really know.

Angel: Hmmm. Well, what's a movie you HAVE seen that you enjoyed?

Ryou: Well, I quite like some of the Harry Potter ones. And I also saw a movie called City of Embers by mistake, that was quite good.

Angel: City of Embers? It sounds familiar but I'll check it out. Okay, let's start to wrap this up. Do you think you could tell us about your ideal girl?

Ryou: It was okay. And my ideal girl? *blushes* Well, she'd be kind, and she'd share some interests with me...she wouldn't be scared by the occult either. Um...preferably not too tall, but other than that, I don't really mind. As long as she loves me and I love her, that's all that really matters. *smile*

Angel: *squeels* You are just TOOO damn cute!!! *glomps*

Ryou: Ah! *falls over* Er...could you get off me please?

Angel: Gomen gomen. *gets off* ^-^ I think that about wraps this interview up. And I'm sure after this you'll get plenty of offers on girlfriends. *giggle*

Ryou: Erm, thanks. It was nice talking to you, Angel-chan. *blushes*

Angel: Now the only question is, who's next? *looks around*

Bakura: *walks in* Someone said something about giving me knives at this place?
